“So cash app us if the love is real!”
To all the parents, relatives, and friends missing someone who is at college right now, I speak for us all when we say we LOVE you. This is a new experience not just for us but for you as well and all though we don’t reach out to you guys as much (or reach out too much!) we appreciate you for empathizing with our busy schedules and allowing us to spread our wings and explore the world. With that being said here is a short list of what your college student is thinking about and or needs from you!
1. We need money all the time. So cash app us if the love is real! 2. Believe it or not, we stay hungry. So I repeat #1- money is always welcome. 3. We do not get enough sleep! We are pretty much sleep deprived, I don’t know how I'm stil typing this. 4. Coffee = best friend when it comes to all-nighters. Yes, there have already been all-nighters. 5. Starbucks is still life. 6. Travis Scott’s Astroworld is the staple album for the typical college kid and your student knows at least three songs by heart of it whether they like it or not. 7. Believe us or not, we are handling our schoolwork and we aren’t partying as much as you think. 8. We may come back a little thicker than how we left, don’t say anything about it! 9. We do laundry almost every day. 10. And last but not least, we do miss you, so very much. Let us know how you are, send us a sweet little text, we will hit you back up, I promise!
Update: it is now the second semester and there are more things that we are slowly learning about college! SO in all the things I mentioned above:
11.We are not perfect period. We make mistakes a lot but we do learn and grow from them.
12. We do not know what we are doing and think about that at least twice a day.
13. Like I said on #7, we do not party as much as you think. In fact, at this time of the year, we are kinda over the parties.
14. This semester is easier than the first one, we are happier, we are doing more of what we want to do.
15. Life is a process and as a college student, we learn that every day. But we also know it's important to keep going through our problems and to keep pushing towards what we want.
16. We are tired all the time, but the college life and experience as a whole makes it worth it.
So as you are making your next care package, know that we are ok! We are having so much fun and learning about ourselves and how we want to spend our future. We are truly making all of you proud out there and will see you soon. Love, Naava Dae but this is your son or daughters exact thoughts too, I’m serious….so imagine it was them
